Skills Manager is a robust system for collecting, managing, and reporting records pertaining to all aspects of personnel development for the duration of their career. It will monitor personnel training and certification in many categories including entry level training, in-service training, instructor training, and firearms training where applicable. Evaluate individuals, instructors, and even organizations for compliance with established standards or regulations. Administer records for a single organization or for multiple organizations.

Employees
Certifications - Record all current and past employee certifications complete with award and expiration dates and status. Define an unlimited number of certifications.
Training - Keep a complete history of courses attended by employees with date, course, credit hours, score, pass/fail, location, instructor and more. Log attendance to courses offered by your organization and as well as one-time or infrequent training provided by other organizations.
Firearms - Record all employee firearms qualifications, including date, weapon, score, pass/fail, application (daylight, low light, etc). Some organizations may not require this feature therefore a configuration option is provided to hide all references to this element throughout the application.
Employment - Record all employment events such as hire dates, promotions, suspensions, leave of absence, transfers, terminations, etc. Note date, status, rank/position, level, classification, assignment, and more for each event. Supports simultaneous employment of an individual by more than one organization (agency, department, company, etc.).
Education - Record all diplomas, vocational certificates, and college degrees complete with date, institution, majors and credit hours.
Notes - Record personal notes for each employee. Notes are arranged topically, and individual topics can be password protected to guard sensitive or confidential information. Notes can be searched for words or phrases.
Instant Employee Profile - View or print a comprehensive report on any employee including data from any or all of the categories listed in the previous sections.
Instant Mailing Label - Instantly print a mailing label for individual employees using an optional label printer.
Employee Photographs - Attach a digital photograph of each employee to the employee’s main record. Also print the photograph on the Instant Employee Profile report.
Employee Archive - Archive former employees to improve application usability and database performance. Archived employees can be viewed online or printed at any time. Organizations Keep detailed information on organizations (agencies, departments, companies, etc.) that you interface with. Data elements include name, address, county, region, primary contact, telephone numbers, e-mail, type, status, birth, age, gender, home address, telephone numbers, and more.
Contacts - Record multiple contacts for every organization with name, address, contact type, telephone numbers, and e-mail address.

Catalog
A multi-level course catalog allows courses to be organized by program and subject area.
Course records
contain a full description of the course, instructor, approval date, approval
period, completion hours, cost, vendor, mandating agency, passing score,
training location and sponsor. Security Password Security protects the data from those not authorized to use the system. Four user access levels allow system administrators to grant privileges on an individual user basis. Import / Export Import data from external applications or from other organizations also using Skills Manager. Selectively export data for use with spreadsheets, databases or word processors. Data Collection Express entry features permit records to be entered in batches rapidly and with minimal effort. Common fields are entered just once for the entire batch.
Use optical scan forms (OMR) to collect data without data entry. (Optional OMR scanner required.) Data Sets Manage up to 100 distinct, or unrelated groups of employees in separate databases, each with unique security constraints, options, and supporting code tables. (Only one data set is included in the basic software license, however additional data sets can easily be added for a modest fee.) Customization User defined code tables provide a high level of customization. Customers can use the codes and terminology that work best for them. Create Mail Merge Files A variety of merge procedures are provided for creating comma delimited text files for easily merging data into other popular software such as word processors where printed output can be highly customized.
